SUBJECT: Tails from the Bark Side - 1/26/26

THIS WEEK AT HICKS

ALL WEEK - it's the Kindness Challenge hosted by our School Counselors!

Tuesday

  • Our 100th Day of School! Huskies are welcome to dress as their best impression of a 100 year old!

Thursday

  • It's the last chance to join RUN CLUB for the "Kids Run the OC" program! We were rained out last week - so this week will be our first practice - so there's still time to get in! The program is open to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. Check out this presentation to learn more about the program, and then complete the Parent/Student information form. The first practice is from 3 - 4:15 PM after school... but please do NOT send your student before completing the information form. Contact Mrs. Bailey with questions!

Friday

  • Husky Hustle Kickoff!

  • "Fancy Frenzy" Spirit Day! Brought to you by Student Council.

Plan Ahead!

FEBRUARY info has been added to Husky Happenings!

Robotics

This weekend our Robotics teams competed in TWO competitions; Saturday at Orchard Hills School and Sunday in San Diego!

On Saturday; the Denim Divas took home the "Create" Award, while the Ro-Bros earned the top spot in Skills. On Sunday, the Gear Girls clinched the "Judges Award", and the Tech Masters secured 2nd Place in the Tournament in Skills! Incredible!

Huge kudos to our team coach - Mrs. Cunningham, for leading these teams every step of the way!

Check out the Robotics album for more pics of the weekend.

Tournament of Champions

Our Flag Football teams took to the fields of the Great Park on Saturday...

The 3rd Grade Boys/3rd& 4th Grade Girls team battled 2 tough teams - but they didn't give in without a fight! (19-32 vs University Park and 13-18 vs. Tustin Memorial)

The 4th Grade Boys team had an awesome winning streak of 3 games in the morning (15-0 vs. Vista Verde, 20-7 vs. Heritage and 25-12 vs. Alderwood) before falling to Heritage 13-27 in the semis!
It was a great showing for both teams - and we are so grateful to coaches Jon, Phillip, Eric and Ty for their leadership!

Check out the Tournament of Champions album for more pics of the day.
