EVERY Monday (all year long): Yogurtland is available after school (starting at 2:50 PM) - $5 for a treat - and 20% goes to support the PTO! 

OCTOBER

October Community Support Event: 

• Operation Be Kind's "Trunk or Treat" event! Our "HCE Community Programs" Team is excited to announce our first event of the year: The Operation Be Kind "Trunk or Treat" - a partnership with ICEC. We'll be helping to set up and host the organization's Trunk or Treat event on October 24th. Click here for more info! Please note: this is NOT an event for HCE students to trick-or-treat. We are volunteering for ICEC's event for children with special needs. 

Thursday, October 1 

• Dine out Day at Mendocino Farms AND Handel's Ice Cream (right next to each other at the Marketplace). Valid from 2 PM until close (does NOT apply for earlier lunch!) Make sure to mention HCE when you order (if you order onsite) or use the code "GIVEBACK" if you order Mendocino Farms online. 

Friday, October 2

• PTO meeting: 10:00 AM in the Small Multipurpose Room (you must check in at the front office before heading to the meeting) or call in using Google Meet. Get all the details. ALL families invited - this is not a Board/Committee-only meeting... come join us and hear what PTO is up to! 
  

Tuesday, October 6 and Friday, October 9

• 4th Graders are on their Walk Through California Journey! Brought to you by the PTO
  

Wednesday, October 7

• National Bike and Walk to School Day! Leave the car at home and join us for a little fresh air and fun! We'll have cheer stations set up as you walk in - say hello, grab a sticker and a high five and a festive start to your day! 
  
  
• Registration opens for Session 2 of Wednesday After School Programs. Please note that registration closes Friday, October 16 and late adds will NOT be accommodated. Session 2 begins October 21. 

Monday, October 12 - Friday, October 16

• Conference Week for grades K-5 - MINIMUM DAY ALL WEEK! Your student's teacher will be in touch to schedule your conference appointment. (TK.. your conference week is Nov 2-6.. you have a NORMAL schedule this week). 

Wednesday, October 14

• Our 2nd Sabrina Lentini Assembly for our TK and Kindergarteners! This energetic assembly features music, dance, an intro to instruments and rhythm! Brought to you by the PTO.

Thursday, October 15

• This one's for the girls! Join us for an Evening Under the Stars in this magical night just for our favorite little ladies and their trusted adult! 6 PM in the Large MPR (Please only one adult per family) Brought to you by the PTO

Friday, October 16

• Registration closes for Session 2 of Wednesday After School Programs. Late adds will NOT be accommodated.

• Team Kids Kickoff (Grades 4&5)

• Deadline for birthday Marquee Greetings for November birthdays. Late adds will NOT be accommodated.

• It's DINO DASH Day! This event is put on by Tustin Public Schools Foundation - and $10 from each HCE student/family registration goes RIGHT BACK TO HCE! Just make sure to write in Hicks Canyon Elementary when you REGISTER! 
• On event morning - meet us at 8:30 AM in front of Dick's Sporting Goods for a big HCE team photo! (The 2k event starts at 9 AM. 5K runners start at 8 AM... so just run SUPER fast to meet us!) :)
