SUBJECT: Husky Hustle Class Contest Winners!

What an incredible event! We are SO proud of all of our Huskies! Our students ran hard, our parents cheered wildly (and made some super creative signs!), our volunteers made it all happen (THANK YOU!), and (most importantly) our families helped us raise crucial funds to support the programs that the PTO funds all year long! We are so grateful for your support!

Read on to see our WINNING classes for lap counts and fundraising - we had some insanely CLOSE competitions out there!!

CLASS COMPETITIONS

Our grade-level classes win an ice-pop party to celebrate their victory! (These will take place after spring break)

MOST LAPS RUN:
These classes really put the "Hustle" in Husky Hustle!

Winners are calculated by taking the # of total laps run and dividing by the total runners from the class.

15-minute run sessions:

  • TK: Mrs. Crenshaw (7.8 laps)
  • Kinder: Mrs. Chao (8.35 laps)

20-minute run sessions:

  • 1st: Mrs. Martin (10.15)
  • 2nd: Mrs. Havens (10.73)
  • 3rd: Mrs. Hubbard (9.42)
  • 4th: Mrs. Pacelli (10.06)
  • 5th: Mr. Hoffmann (12.27)

We want to give a special shoutout to 5th Graders Jarvis, Cayden and Remy... they ran the most laps of the day - 20 laps each! And our top teachers cutting it up on the course; Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Hubbard & Mrs. Pacelli in the 20-minute sessions... and Mrs. Adlparvar in the 15-minute session!

TOP FUNDRAISING CLASSES:

Determined by donations logged Thursday night at 11:59 PM.

  • TK: Mrs. Crenshaw
  • Kinder: Mrs. Wright
  • 1st: Mrs. Cruz
  • 2nd: Mrs. Havens
  • 3rd:  Mrs. DeSoto
  • 4th: Mrs. Pacelli
  • 5th: Mrs. Lindauer

A few of these contests came down to an absolute nail-biter finish at the last hour! DeSoto's class wins the come-from behind victory of the year! WOW!

2026 Hustle Grand Champion!

Congratulations to Mrs. Wright's Class!
Our top fundraising class in the WHOLE SCHOOL (currently at an incredible $8,669) earns an ice pop party, front row seats at our BMX show AND $100 for Mrs. Wright to spend on Scholastic Books for the class! Way to go Team Wright!!

What happens next...

Fundraising remains open through MONDAY night. Donations logged by Monday night will determine

  • Final Charms Deliveries (to be done the week we return)
  • Raffle tickets!

What's the deal with the raffle?

  • EVERY student gets one ticket as a freebie.
  • Earn another ticket when you hit $25 in fundraising!
  • Earn 3 more tickets when you reach $100... and 3 more tickets for every $100 raised after that!

Classes will visit the raffle room as a class on Tuesday or Wednesday when we return from Spring Break and put their tickets in the boxes for the prizes they want to win.

PARENTS: We recommend scrolling through the prizes with your student to make a plan. Some of the prizes are teacher experiences that happen after school. If your student enters and is selected for a prize that they can't attend - we can not offer a trade. Please be sure to communicate with them if this type of prize won't work for them!

Finally - we would LOVE your feedback about the event! We're always looking to improve - send your comments (what you loved, what we could modify) or your questions to huskyhustle@hickscanyon.org

Don't want to register but still want to help?

You can make a donation on the school page - it won't be credited to an individual for charms or raffle tickets - but it will contribute toward our school's goal!

"HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT'S GOING ON AT HICKS?"

We know... there's SO much info that comes out from the school and the PTO - that's why we want to make it as easy as possible for you to get the news YOU need.

  • "Tails from the Bark Side" comes out every Monday from the PTO and includes the week-at-a-glance. They are archived on our site so you can catch past issues if you missed something. This is your BEST reminder to find out deadlines and events that are coming up THIS week.

  • "Hump Day Happenings" comes out Wednesdays from the PTO with some mid-week reminders. It also includes a heads up for NEXT week.

  • "Husky Howl" comes out Fridays FROM THE SCHOOL. This one comes to you through "Parent Square". Contact the school's front office if you aren't getting this one.

  • Husky Happenings is always available - your at-a-glance view of what's to come for the month.

  • The PTO also provides a hard copy calendar that goes out at the start of each month - and there's a QR code right in the corner to get more details too!

Be sure to keep the website link handy for whenever you wonder "hey, is that coming up?"
