It's Scholastic Book Fair Week! Brought to you by the PTO
- Teachers take their classes to visit the book fair during the school day, and students can also visit during their recess and after lunch.
- You can shop WITH your students before school (7:45 AM - 8:30 AM) or after school. And of course at Evening at the Book Fair on Thursday.
- What we ask of YOU (the parents):
  - Provide your student(s) with either cash to bring to school to shop, OR load their "e-wallet" with Scholastic. If they have funds on their e-wallet, they simply tell our volunteers their name, and they will be able to shop with that credit.
  - Make sure your student knows which method of payment they will be using. Our teachers are not always aware of who has funds on their e-wallet and who plans to use cash.
  - Volunteer with us for a shift! Shifts run throughout the school day in short blocks - and it's fun!
  - Consider "rounding up" your purchase to the nearest dollar - those extra pennies will go toward the "Share the Fair" fund - used to purchase books for our library and teacher wish lists!

Wednesday

Deadline for birthday Marquee Greetings for March birthdays. Late adds will NOT be accommodated.

Thursday

Evening at the Book Fair! Join us from 4:30 - 7:30 PM to shop with your student!
- Our Husky Gear Pop-Up Shop will be open too - grab some new designs or your grade level shirt (available in all sizes).
- We'll also have HUSKY HUSTLE shirts available for sale!

Friday

It's Read Across America Day! For this Spirit Day - students are encouraged to dress as their favorite book character! (Clothing must still be school-appropriate, and weapons as props are not allowed)

Sunday

The close of the Hustle Award weekly challenge for Week 4! See below for details.

Lunar New Year Celebrations!

Last Wednesday, students learned more about the holiday in an assembly with their whole grade, and then created Lion Dance headbands!

On Friday, students were treated to a spectacular performance by Southern Wind Lion Dance!

We are SO grateful to all of the parent volunteers who made these events happen! Thank you!

Hustle Award - Challenge #3 Winners!

Congratulations to MRS. NAM'S TK class for winning the 3rd Hustle Challenge Award! They had 70% of their class with a website customized with a photo as of last night - AWESOME! We delivered their trophy and goodie bags for each student from ANTHILL shopNplay this morning!

Challenge #4 is up for grabs (see below) - let's see who comes out on top!

Did you know that Earn & Learn offers a $250 bonus prize for the school that enters the MOST receipts in a month? We're aiming to take February - and we need YOUR help!

If you have time to enter some receipts from home (it's super easy; take a pic with your phone, enter in the info on the webpage) - we'll get you a stack of 20 to do while watching TV! Contact us to get your pile!
Be sure to enter YOUR receipts all month. There is NOT a restaurant night this month - just choose your favorite eatery in the Marketplace and enter your receipt online!
