SPRING BREAK EDITION!

Does your Husky have an April or May birthday?
Tuesday the 25th is the last day to book a birthday marquee greeting for April.

This is the perfect week to set up your Husky Hustle page!

Looking ahead:

There's enough going on with the first day back at school... at least dinner is planned! Join us at THE STAND on March 25th - and 25% of your bill benefits the PTO!
Registration for Session 4 of our Wednesday After School programs OPENS the day we get back from Spring Break (the 25th) and closes that Friday! Check out the lineup of classes (4 new classes this session!) and get all of the registration details you need! Entry for the lottery for the culinary class closes on MONDAY the 24th at 5 PM.

Scholastic Book Fair FUN!

Our spring Scholastic Book Fair was a great success - with students picking up favorite titles and finding new genres to love ("oooh, Guinness Book of World Records!") and parents joining us at our before and after school shopping hours - as well as a spirited night at our Evening at the Book Fair! Check out our photo album to see some of the action!

You helped us fill Ethan and Choco's book donation box with 82 books that are being delivered to Choc Hospital, as well as books for all of our teachers in their "wish" boxes! THANK YOU for your incredible support!

We are so grateful to our Book Fair committee for putting on not one... but TWO amazing fairs this year (Did you know most schools only do one? What!?) Our committee works hard, but ALWAYS makes it fun too! We had a great time with our committee member and volunteer hide-and-seek - see who you can spot!

HEADED TO WORLDS!!

As the winners of the Robotics Online Challenges were released Friday - one school stood out from the rest - HICKS CANYON ELEMENTARY!

TUSD logged 75 district entries, resulting in 17 finalists - and then 4 first place winners... THREE from HCE!!

With this news... it also means that FOUR HCE Robotics teams are headed to Worlds in Dallas this May! This is a record for HCE - and we could not be more proud of our Robotics scholars and our incredible leaders - Mrs. Cunningham and Mrs. Pacelli!

Hoops Classic - HCE CAN'T STOP WINNING!

Our TWO Husky Basketball teams took to the courts this weekend... and left crowned CHAMPIONS!

Our 3rd grade boys bested Alderwood and then Solis Park before the final bracket round vs. Cadence Park - where they emerged victorious in a 26-13 win for the Championship!

Our 5th grade boys defeated Orchard Hills and then Westpark on their way to the finals vs. Oak Creek... taking the championship with a 43-40 victory! This group of athletes celebrates back-to-back championships - having won the 4th grade division last year!

Marketplace Receipts - WE'RE CURRENTLY IN FOURTH PLACE!

They released the current Earn & Learn standings last week - we're in 4th place out of 25 schools (a $2,000 prize).

But if our Robotics and Hoops Classics teams taught us anything - HCE won't rest until WE'VE GOT THE GOLD!
We're going for #1 - and the full $3,500!

Keep saving those receipts to turn them in at the front office or enter them online!* The program ends April 30th... so the end is in sight!
