• National Bike and Walk to School Day! Leave the car at home and join us for a little fresh air and fun! We'll have cheer stations set up as you walk in - say hello, grab a sticker and a high five and a festive start to your day! Even better - join us at a cheer station! 
  
  
• Registration OPENS for Session 2 of Wednesday After School Programs. Please note that registration closes Friday, October 16 and late adds will NOT be accommodated. Session 2 begins October 21. 
  • If you are participating in the Musical... please do NOT sign up for Session 2.. your rehearsals take place on Wednesdays.
    
    
• Session 1 after school programs are ON... even if it's super hot out. All outdoor classes will have indoor options (please reach out directly to the vendor with questions). The last class for session 1 is NEXT week (October 14).

Thank you to all who joined in person and online for our October PTO meeting! We gave a financial report, shared updates of recent purchases, programs and events, announced upcoming things to look forward to and shared ways to get more involved! Our "HCE Community Programs" Team is excited to announce our first event of the year: The Operation Be Kind "Trunk or Treat" - a partnership with ICEC. We'll be helping to set up and host the organization's Trunk or Treat event on October 24th. Click here for more info!
Please note: this is NOT an event for HCE students to trick-or-treat. We are volunteering for ICEC's event for children with special needs. 

2 great options to support this event!

1) Donate candy/treats/snacks for the event (bring your items to HCE's front office by October 19th). More details.

2) Host a car at the event's Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, October 24th (9 AM - Noon) Get the info! 

So many ways to get involved - in-school opportunities, at-home jobs - the list is updated weekly!

Remember: All of these events have been done before - and we have the tools to make sure you are a success. You won't be starting from zero - and our structure is set up so that every volunteer role has support and guidance!
